Elder-care mediation is a growing market. This class will provide you with critical information and skills needed for a mediator to navigate elder-care disputes. 3 hrs CE

The topics that will be presented in this program include:
1. Decisions facing families as the parents age or after death of a family member, such as (i) where should Mom or Dad be living, (ii) who should be in charge of finances, health care, daily chores, or (iii) the Will distributes real estate and investments, but not the personal property.
2. Sources of conflict within the family when these circumstances arise, such as (i) siblings view parents’ needs differently, (ii) one sibling does all the heavy lifting, or (iii) multiple siblings are living in different cities.
3. Resources available to help families facing these difficult challenges, such as (i) care options, (ii) living choices, (iii) non-profit organizations, (iv) other services.
